Terms of Service

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts concluded between MedLingua Academy GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "MedLingua" or "we") and our customers (hereinafter referred to as "you" or "customer") regarding language courses, preparation programs, and related services.

By registering for any of our services or courses, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2.1 Registration for courses can be made through our website, by email, or in person. Your registration constitutes an offer to enter into a contract with us.

2.2 A contract is formed upon our written confirmation of your registration or upon your first attendance of a confirmed course.

2.3 We reserve the right to reject registrations without providing reasons.

3.1 Course fees are as stated at the time of registration and are due in full before the course begins unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3.2 Payment can be made by bank transfer or other payment methods offered by us.

3.3 Registration fees, where applicable, are non-refundable.

3.4 In case of late payment, we reserve the right to charge interest at the statutory rate and to exclude you from course participation until payment is received.

4.1 Cancellations must be submitted in writing (email acceptable).

4.2 Cancellation terms:

• More than 4 weeks before course start: Full refund minus €50 administration fee
• 2–4 weeks before course start: 50% refund
• Less than 2 weeks before course start: No refund

4.3 If we cancel a course, you will receive a full refund or may transfer to an alternative course.

5.1 We reserve the right to change course dates, times, instructors, and locations if necessary. You will be informed of any changes in a timely manner.

5.2 Courses require a minimum number of participants. If this is not reached, we may cancel the course and offer alternative dates or a full refund.

5.3 In case of instructor illness or unforeseen circumstances, substitute instructors may be provided or classes may be rescheduled.

6.1 Participants are expected to attend classes regularly and punctually.

6.2 Participants must behave respectfully towards instructors, staff, and fellow students.

6.3 Course materials provided are for personal use only and may not be copied or distributed.

6.4 We reserve the right to exclude participants who disrupt classes or behave inappropriately.

7.1 For online courses, participants are responsible for ensuring they have adequate technical equipment and internet connection.

7.2 Recording of online sessions is strictly prohibited unless explicitly authorized.

7.3 We are not responsible for technical issues outside our control.

8.1 Our liability is limited to cases of intent and gross negligence.

8.2 We do not guarantee exam success or specific learning outcomes.

8.3 We are not liable for lost or damaged personal belongings at our premises.

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection regulations. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details.

10.1 These terms are governed by German law.

10.2 The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Munich, Germany.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
